Meet Odie (Odie Bear)
Odie is a 2.5-year-old Great Dane from our Walking Dead litter who is looking for a new family through no fault of his own. This sweet, affectionate boy is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can feel secure, loved, and closely connected to his people.
Odie is deeply loyal to his family and forms strong bonds with those he trusts. Around the home, he is loving, goofy, and incredibly affectionate. He enjoys playing ball, curling up on the couch for snuggles, burrowing into blankets, and happily accepting peanut butter dog cookies whenever available. He’s also known for taking up most of the bed, snoring loudly, and giving the kind of full-body Dane hugs that melt your heart.
He is very intelligent and emotionally connected to his humans, often wanting to stay close by throughout the day. Odie has not spent much time home alone, so he would likely thrive in a home where companionship and consistency are part of daily life.
As Odie has matured and begun coming into his own, he has experienced some challenges with the other dog in his current home ( one biting incident ) . Because of this, we believe he would do best either as the only dog in the home or in a carefully matched home with experienced owners willing to take introductions slowly and thoughtfully. Proper structure, patience, and compatibility will be important for his long-term success with other dogs. We would also recommend neutering as part of helping support his adjustment and future success.
